We have Windows XP and Norton does not even give the options to say that this is spam.

Perhaps you have Norton Anti-virus which only detects, well, viruses?
Most Norton products do not have antispam capibilities. Offhand, I believe Norton internet Security does.

check there for any option for anti spam checking enable.
Norton's and Mc Affee seem to give alot of people problems, conflicting with legit programs.
I refuse to buy any of their programs because of this, and they seem to let a lot of viruses and spyware through
